Xylocopa virginica? - Bombus fraternus - male

Xylocopa virginica? - Bombus fraternus - Male
Loveland, Larimer County, Colorado, USA
October 21, 2013
I don't know exactly how large it was but it was big like large bumble bee size. I have more view if needed.

Moved from Bumble Bees.

Given it's a Bombus... rufoci
Given it's a Bombus... rufocinctus or griseocollis? I'm leaning towards the latter since the hair is so short and even, but not certain.

i now think its fraternus
note black hairs of face, very dark wings, black ineralar hairs, and short appressed pubescence.

Moved from ID Request.
