Size: 30 mm
Io moth instar growth spurt tripling its length from day 32 to day 46 after hatching from about 10 mm to 30 mm. The caterpillars also have fully attained their mature coloration by now. By the first week of October, at about 65-70 days after hatching they are mature at about 55-60 mm and are beginning to make cocoons.
