Moved tentatively; several distinctive features fit well
(flattened elytra, antennae, hind legs)
members of this speciose, inadequately understood neotropical genus keep showing up in California, although none seems to be formally recorded yet, as far as i can see(1)

Moved from Pea and Bean Weevils.

bruchine of sorts; might be interesting
need a dorsal to tell

Thanks!
I've had a chance now to get back and add two additional angles. Let me know if they give you anything else to go on. :D

thanks --a lot of important details there
i still can't figure it out... was it found indoors? might be another tramp species...

Wild guess alert...
Something in this general vicinity, perhaps?

I'll be interested to find out if I'm anywhere close. :)

I think you
have the exact vicinity! Good wild guess. :D
When I first saw it, it looked like a weevil, but those legs threw me on closer inspection and I was stymied. We might get a closer ID from some quarter, though.... :)
