This larva was found inside a seed capsule of Chelone glabra - Turtlehead. Can anyone shed light on what it might be?

I think this placement makes sense, until someone rears a different moth from a larva like this in a turtlehead seed capsule.

We could move this to Endothenia hebesana
if you're comfortable. Certainly looks like it!

Endothenia hebesana
My guess is that this is the super-generalist, Endothenia hebesana (Tortricidae), which feeds on fruits of a remarkable range of plant species; and sure enough, it is the only species that comes up in a HOSTS database search of Tortricidae x Chelone. It would of course be best for definitive ID if you could rear it through to adult.

Thanks for the possible ID. I didn't save it and therefore cannot confirm. I'm generally more interested in the plants and only find the insects when investigating/imaging the botanical realm.
