Kudzu bug group - Megacopta cribraria - male - female

Kudzu bug group - Megacopta cribraria - Male Female
Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina, USA
October 27, 2013
Size: ~4mm
Our plentiful kudzu was killed by a frost the other night. The hundreds of bugs normally on its succulent leaves
moved to hardier plants including elderberry and this one, a crepe myrtle tree. Walking along a path
through the kudzu desert, I could see dozens of these flying around, and quite a few landed on me.
