Resting in the sun, not a clear snap but has a distinct pattern, hope someone can ID it for me, thanks.

Take a look at Hypagyrtis unipunctata. I'm not 100%, but I keep coming back to that.

 
Laci, I looked at the
patterning on its back and i believe that you have nailed it, also it is one of the two species found in Canada (Hypagyrtis unipunctata and
Hypagyrtis piniata) as per the BG info page! Seefor comparison. Thanks.
