Rindge (1964) included three species of the genus Carphoides in America north of Mexico. (1)
Powell & Opler (2009) listed the forewing length as 14-16 mm. (2)
Rindge (1964) stated Carphoides incopriarius "is very different in appearance from Carphoides setigera."
The forewing has longitudinal markings and no transverse lines. The postmedian line is sometimes represented by dark spots. (1)
