This image is a CombineZP processed stack of 225 images with a 0.9 µm step taken with a Nikon CF BD 50X/0.90 ∞/- Apo microscope objective + Nikon 105 mm F2.5 portrait lens + Nikon D300 camera (magnification 26.25X; technique described here).

I've added this close-up to qualify the image produced by this setup out to the corners of a 15.8 mm X 15.8 mm square cropped from the center of the Nikon DX (23.6 mm X 15.8 mm) sensor. The object field of view is 0.59 mm.
