Out of range, wrong shape
Lost Maples SP appears to be quite a ways out of the normal range of the Hag Moth and is in a very different ecoregion. The shape of the present critter also seems to differ from typical Hag Moth cats. What might be some other possibilities? The array of Limacodids which have been documented in adjacent (well-covered) Edwards County, TX, can be seen
