Chinese Mantid - Tenodera sinensis

Chinese Mantid - Tenodera sinensis
Bunker Hill Forest Preserve, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA
October 19, 2013
Tenodera sinensis?
Mantis religiosa?
These critters always confuse me! This one was an unusually vivid green. I can at least identify the hand as John Balaban's!

Tenodera sinensis
The vertically striped face and green border on the forewing are characteristic of Tenoderans. The size and location indicate a Chinese mantid.

Thanks,
John, I appreciate that explanation of the ID.
