Size: 12 mm
Photographed in a temporary desert pool that had dozens of Graptocorixa abdominalis. I'm assuming this is one of them but the coloration is strange.

Definitely Graptocorixa
And likely G. abdominalis, as you pointed out. This is a teneral specimen. I hit a nice series of Graptocorixa on the Gila River once that had many orange specimens. I was really excited in the field, thinking I was catching something different. No such luck.
