Mushroom With Legs - Araneus diadematus

Mushroom With Legs - Araneus diadematus
Windsor, Ontario, Canada
November 7, 2013
Size: 17mm body
Found this specimen in my back yard among the leaves. I'm having trouble identifying it online, any ideas? Thanks.

Araneus trifolium (Hentz, 1847)
See The Insects and Arachnids of Canada, Part 23. The Orb-weaving Spiders of Canada and Alaska, pages 233-235. Quite widespread, but not as common as A. diadematus.
See also for color picture: National Audubon Soc., Field Guide to Insects and Spiders, picture 690 (allowing for color variation).

Looks a lot like this Araneus diadematus

But isn’t
But that is not A. diadematus: color wrong, pattern wrong. That is another A. trifolium.
