There are 21 named species of the genus Aroga in America north of Mexico. (1), (2)
Widespread throughout eastern North America. (3)
Holotype ♂ from Alcona County, Michigan, 24 May 1971, collector L.F. Wilson.
The main flight period appears to be April to September.
The larvae have been reared on Comptonia peregrina (L.) J.M. Coult. (sweet fern).
