Apioninae - Kissingeria

Apioninae - Kissingeria
Weaver Dunes, Wabasha County, Minnesota, USA
June 22, 2013
collected on silky prairie clover, Dalea villosa

Glenn A. Salsbury says: Kissingeria
"I do not think this is tenuirostrum because the first antennal segment (funicle) in the specimen shown is pale. In tenuirostrum it is black. Also, tenuirostrum has the scales condensed on interval 3 and at the base of interval 5. I do not think that tenuirostrum has been moved from Trichapion to Kissingeria but I could be wrong on this as it is hard to keep up with all of the changes. I will send some photos shortly of tenuirostrum specimens as identified by Kissinger."
