Can you give us any more information?
What is it feeding on, what size was it? Did it have urogomphi? Can't see the posterior end at all.

on a fungus
It was small, probably 1-2mm.
The same fungus was also covered by adult
Derodontus
beetles, which is why I'm thinking this is the larva.
The fungus can be seen in this pic (the red fungus):

Ah, interesting.
That helps. I'll look around, I have never identified larvae in this family before.

Glad to hear that
Unfortunately I didn't get any other pics (this one was actually a crop of a larger picture) so hopefully this is enough. I'll try to find a larva again in a few days; I know exactly where the log with the fungi can be found.
