first instar moth caterpillars
Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California, USA
November 3, 2011
Just saw some similar cats recently posted identified as Noctua pronuba; these have been sitting unidentified in my files for about two years now. Are these also N. pronuba, or if not are they identifiable at this early life stage? Hostplant is some kind of cypress sp.

Any or all of these images can be frassed if they are not needed for the guide.
