help!!!!

I was cleaning out my daughters room today and i found some type of small bug. It looked alot like a young carpet beetle but without the small hairs. She went off to college and she left her room very very messy. There was a bit of food but mostly the floor and bed were covered with clothing. I tried to clean it out but i got scared about what type of bugs they can be. When i picked a small shoe box up ( it looked like some type of liquidy food spilled in there but was dry already) there were some dead bugs. They click when you squish them but the alive ones jump ( not too far of a distance) and make a clicking noise. I dont have pictures till tomorrow but i'm just worried. I didnt see those bugs around only in her room. That room hasnt been occupied and rarely anyone goes in there, for about a year now. I sprayed as much ant/roach spray as i could, shut the door and put a towel underneath so maybe that will kill them a bit. Also, as sick as this might sound, i found about 7 of those bugs on her dirty underwear in the crouch area. Would you be able to give me a list of some bugs that it could be? I'm just worried that they might spread across the house!!

Was I wrong to suggest she no
Was I wrong to suggest she not spray massive amounts of poison in her house not even knowing what it was she wanted to kill? For some reason my comment was deleted.
