Identification

Similar to Autographa corusca. The species overlap only in Mendocino county, California, where they can be difficult to distinguish. A. corusca generally has a more mottled appearance. The two species can normally be separated by range. (A. corusca occurs from Mendocino county northward to British Columbia, and A. labrosa occurs from Mendocino county southward to San Francisco.)

Range

This species has a very restricted range. It replaces Autographa corusca along the California coast from Mendocino county southward to the San Francisco Bay area.
