tiny blackish winged Ant with orange-brown extremities &beak, and one big petiole-"hump" - Hypoponera - Female
Torrance, Los Angeles County, California, USA
November 10, 2013
Size: ~ 2 mm
Landed on me in urbanized area where the only ants I've ever seen in miles are Argentine Ants.
First thought it was an Argentine Ant, based on size and locality, but photos revealed this surprise "new" species.
Is this an alate female in genus Formica ?

Feel free to frass afterward.
