Delphacodes (Syndelphax) alexanderi - Syndelphax alexanderi

Delphacodes (Syndelphax) alexanderi - Syndelphax alexanderi
Kerr Lake State Park, Vance County, North Carolina, USA
August 5, 2013
From Charles Bartlett: "I would need to see the tail to confirm the species, but it is a male Syndelphax. I would assume alexanderi, but it could be fulvidorsum. I am not sure if the two species can be separated consistently without using tails. The parameres are different enough between the two species that dissection is not necessary."

This individual also matches pics of alexanderi on the University of Delware's online planthopper key.
