Yosemite Valley aphids
Yosemite Valley, Mariposa County, California, USA

Size: ~2.1 mm bl
On arriving at the Yosemite Lodge on November 10, I found a swarm of aphids much like the swarm in the Bay Area reported here. Observations on succeeding days showed that the Yosemite aphids were even more numerous. Aphids were flying wherever we went in the Valley, though less densely than on the 10th. This photo is of a specimen found dead indoors (it probably came in on me).
