different species? - Caenocara
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
October 1, 2006
Size: about 2 mm
These are a portion of the beetles that matured from my puffball collection. They were fairly adept at escaping the rearing container. Every morning and evening I examined the walls, windows and ceiling for escapees, collecting them in a beetle-proof container till I got around to shooting them, looking for variation in antennae or other characteristics.
