The beetle was collected sweeping foilage with a net near Pena Blanca Lake during Bugguide Gathering 2013. Colaspis viridiceps identification is based on key, description, and figure in Blake 1974(1). Expert confirmation is appreciated.

This image is a CombineZP processed stack of 65 images with a 56 µm step taken with a Canon Macrophoto 35 mm F/2.8 bellows lens set to F/4 + adapter/extension tube + Nikon D300 camera.
