Syrphidae - Toxomerus marginatus - female

Syrphidae - Toxomerus marginatus - Female
Plymouth Rock, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
July 22, 2013
Following Steve Pelikan's information (under info) I believe this ID is correct.
Is this a female?

ID is correct, and yes, it's a female.
Eyes on male are larger and touch top front.

Thank you,
and for adding how to determine the difference.

My pleasure, MJ
When I see someone furthering their knowledge, I really love to help!
