This was on a Coast Live Oak at Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve

Looks like Tetraleurodes to me too
limited genera on our oaks, and these aren't Aleuroplatus.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Possible ID
Whitefly Pupae - possibly Tetraleurodes stanfordi

Whitefly does look good. Maybe Aleuroplatus?

Nice!
Well I'm satisfied just knowing what it is ;) If we can get to genus, it would be amazing!

Again, interesting.
I've been seeing many whiteflies recently. Will start looking for these.

Wow!
I'd guess a signet ring and sealing wax, but have a hunch that's not right. Quite an interesting discovery.

Hmmm
I'm intrigued. Odd that I spotted this one day after the Palm Aphid. Maybe once you memorize a shape, they start to show up in other places.

Well, at least my mind seems to work this way.
I believe you're correct, though. This one sure popped off the page for me, whereas the earlier one didn't. Figure inside looks like a stylized scorpion.

Well..
That just shows that you're the expert and I'm the fan. I saw the immature alien from the movie Alien ;)

Scary!
I'm a Scorpio. LOL!

Ha!
