late autumn moth - Ufeus

late autumn moth - Ufeus
Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota, USA
November 10, 2013
Size: Under 50mm in length
Very dark moth found behind some spiderweb in underpass tunnel the second week of November. Outdoor temperatures had ranged from 20 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit earlier in the week, and were not warmer than 40 F at time of sighting. I can't find this one in my local guide or in Peterson. All I know is, as far as late-season moths in Minnesota go, it's not a Bruce Spanworm. Or, if it is a Bruce Spanworm, my identification skills are even worse than I feared. ;-)

Could this be some species of Ufeus?

Agreeing with Ufeus. I'd say
Agreeing with Ufeus. I'd say it was U. satyricus
