Peter, I agree that my moth appears to be the same as the photos you have referenced. Thanks for your hard work trying to decipher this one!

#2104?
I am not an expert but last year, after having been led by Marcia Morris to this post of a barcoded individual here that had been identified as 2104 Chionodes pereyra, I wanted to see what BOLD can do with one of my Chionodes (here and here). My moth turned out that species. Now, revisiting your post, I would say that your moth is a Chionodes pereyra as well.

Moved to Chionodes sp.

Same type of moth?
Bill, your moth looks to me like the one I posted here. Now I know it may be a Chionodes.

Peter, I was thinking it was
Peter, I was thinking it was maybe #1065, Martyringa latipennis, which others have posted from MD. Shows how much I have yet to learn...wish I could know what the experts are seeing that I am not focusing on...

Sometimes frustrated?
Don't worry, you are not alone.

Chionodes
This is one of the species of Chionodes (Gelechiidae). I am not able to ID it to species on sight.
