Baetis alius - voucher specimen, in alcohol - Baetis alius - Male
Healdsburg, Russian River, Sonoma County

Size: 5.5-7 mm
Voucher specimen in alcohol. Male.

The size listed is body length excluding cerci and the terminal filament. The cerci are 4-4.5 mm in length and the terminal filament is approximately 3/4 the length of the cerci.
The nymphs were identified to genus using Merritt, Cummins and Berg (2008) as well as the Buglab Key to Western Baetidae. Identification to species level was done using Morihara and McCafferty (1979)and McCafferty, Meyer, Randolph and Webb (2008).
