Looks like a Pachydiplax
that got slammed by the screen door!

Thanks I think you are right. It was like that when I saw it so somebody else must have slammed the screen door on it. I wouldn't treat a bug that way. Cheers.

 
That or...
...maybe it just had a molting issue. I've seen some insects survive some odd molting problems despite having one or more deformities.
