Longistigma caryae
Kanawha State Forest, Kanawha County, West Virginia, USA

Size: Body, 4 mm., wings 6 mm.
These insects were unusually abundant on this warm, spring day with many individuals flying in open areas between the forest over an area at least one mile across.

I recognize the photos are not sharp, but I am offering them because I see you have no photo records from WV.
