It does look like Chorthippus curtipennis to me. The other species has a few differences that don't seem to apply to this one. For one thing the lines at the sides of the top of the pronotum seem to be more pinched at the middle in the other species, but there are some slight structural differences as well.

Moved from Grasshoppers, Crickets, Katydids.

Crop looks good - Chorthippus
There are two species of Chorthippus in New Brunswick: the widely distributed C. curtipennis and the recently discovered C. affinis brunneus, which is a European species. I don't know how to tell the nymphs apart but perhaps our expert will know. If I had to guess, I'd say this is C. curtipennis...we'll see.
