Sminthurus fischeri? - Sminthurus

Sminthurus fischeri? - Sminthurus
Galleria area, Harris County, Texas, USA

Size: < 1 mm
I've seen Frans' comment about longitudinal stripes being diagnostic within the genus, so I think this is fischeri, assuming I have the genus right.

Moved

Sminthurus fischeri ...
is a good candidate. The alternative is S. mencenbergae. Both have a dorsally striped pattern.
S. fischeri has 19-20 subsegments in the 4th antennal segment, while S. mencenbergae has 17-18.

Thanks, Frans
I can't tell from this pic, but I may be able to get a better one eventually.

You might also want to check:
Snider, R.J. 1983. Sminthurus mencenbergae, new species from Canada and Michigan (Collembola: Sminthuridae)., The Great Lakes Entomologists, Vol. 16, No. 4, p.115-122.
http://insects.ummz.lsa.umich.edu/MES/gle-pdfs/vol16no4.pdf#page=17
in which Snider gives a detailed description of the differences between the 2 lookalike species. In particular, check the difference in the eyes.

Thanks
I looked at it with a microscope today, but the specimen is pretty dried out, and I was unable to see the eyes or antenna subsegments well enough to ID it to species.
