she is Dracotettix monstrosus
The other one found in the U.S. - D. plutonius - is found up in the mountains of the Mojave Desert further east in California and Nevada, and is rarely seen.

Dracotettix newboldi has longer wings (but not long enough to fly) and occurs further south in Baja California, Mexico (not known from the U.S.).

Thank you David! I feel a challenge with D. plutonius ;) Just joking. I do hope to get out there this winter.

 
It's certainly been a challenge for me.
I've looked for D. plutonius, several times, and have yet to find one, except on a pin in a collection. I figure I'll probably actually see a live one only when I stop looking.
