Caterpillar Identification

Caterpillar Identification
Chassell, Houghton County, Michigan, USA
August 30, 2013
This caterpillar was on a blackberry leaf in my yard which I let grow wild to attract insects and wildlife. I live
in a boreal area of white spruce, hemlock, paper and yellow birch, poplar, and red maple. I noticed it also lay curled
up on top of the leaf for a couple of days. I took this photo at 2:00 p.m. The location is in the western Upper
Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior.

Moved

probably subfamily Tenthredininae
(7 annulets)
I do not have full confidence, but I think it is more consistent with Tenthredininae than Selandriinae.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Can't see the eyes or the prolegs,
but it looks like it might be a sawfly larva instead of a lepidoptera
