Order Diptera: Family Syrphridae: Ocyptamus sp.? - Victoriana parvicornis

Order Diptera: Family Syrphridae: Ocyptamus sp.? - Victoriana parvicornis
Naples, Collier County, Florida, USA
January 6, 2014
This fly was hovering and eventually landed on a flower of Smilax auricular (Earleaf Greenbrier/ Catbrier). The fly's appearance and hovering behavior make me think it is Ocyptamus sp. It may be Ocyptamus fuscipennis, but the abdomen doesn't appear to have the very dark bands I have seen on other images. It looks very similar to the BugGuide images for O. parvicornis.
