Leaf Beetle - Lebia viridis

Leaf Beetle - Lebia viridis
Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, USA
September 3, 2006
Looks a little like some of the examples of Altica in the guide to me but then again the femora seems a little too small for a flea beetle.

Lebia viridis
is my guess. Compare.

No leaf beetle
Hi Steve,

you observed well: This beetle has about the size and colour of an Altica, but this is all - it is a small ground beetle (Carabidae). Hope others may tell you more about it :-)

Boris

Thanks Both
That's much better.
