Yes,
I generally provide the lowest level link to the html page which has a link to the pdf, rather than a direct link to the pdf itself. This allows people to more easily see where the document is archived, what other documents may be available there, and to make a more informed decision about whether or not they want to actually download the article (which may be quite large). I've often found that dissecting a direct pdf address to figure these things out requires a bit of detective work.
