Crane Flies (mating) - male - female

Crane Flies (mating) - Male Female
Renton WA, King County, Washington, USA
October 22, 2013
Size: <=1" (best recollection)
(Found original file and updated date and identifier. Also added "Male" and "Female" to sex/age status categories.)

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

pls fill in the sighting date here and elsewhere
state abbreviations are redundant (state added from another field) -- please refer to the filling instructions provided in the submission form and correct location data; also, size data only help if measured in mm, otherwise the field is better left blank (estimates are misleading in the majority of cases)

Thanks for feedback. Is there anyway to have some fields just auto-fill?

What do you recommend when actual date is not known? Unfortunately, most all the pictures taken summer 2013 are now offline and I don't have access to the external drives... so even if I could go back and find the original image, I can't at the moment. (I had to take these images off facebook posts I made and have lost the filename which doesn't help. Need to find a way to make my FB posts autopost to Flickr!

I will stop posting if the precise date is a required field if I cannot find it at present. I'd prefer to respect the sites rules to benefit all.

Thanks.

pls keep posting
just add a brief explanation in the Remarks field, something like "taken during the summer 2013, exact date unavailable at this time" --and do your best to add dates in the future.
it's not that the date is mandatory, it's just that images posted with insufficient data may not get the desired expert attention

Thank you for the followup.
Thank you for the followup. Will do my best. For now, they will be less specific (but will follow something like your suggested wording) until I later get all my data back online.
