Listroderes with eggs - Listroderes difficilis - female

Listroderes with eggs - Listroderes difficilis - Female
Deane, Letcher County, Kentucky, USA
January 13, 2014
Size: 7mm
Just need questions answered. FRASS if needed. I read there are no males!! That all eggs are female, true? Is the weather confusing the insects or have I scared her? Or normal for them to deposit eggs now? She laid them about an hour after I caught her.
If it is the weather I am afraid we will have a decline in the beetle population. It is supposed to snow 3 inches tonight.

Moved
Moved from Listroderes. They seem to be so, at least in North American populations. I don't know why she started laying eggs.

Thanks
This one made three different beetles that have laid eggs. Possibly stress too.
