Identification
Very distinct uninterrupted post-vertical pollinose stripe connecting the post-orbitals (i.e. along upper half of hind edge of head). Very large theca in the female. Thorax and abdomen mostly rufous. For (many) more details, see Townsend's original description here (as Conops auratus).
