Caddisfly Identification - Pycnopsyche

Caddisfly Identification - Pycnopsyche
Chassell, Houghton County, Michigan, USA
September 10, 2013
This caddisfly came to my porch light at 9:30 p.m. My yard is overgrown with Blackberries. The trees in my yard
are White Spruce, White Pine, Red Maple, Paper and Yellow Birch, and Poplar. The forest on my property has a lot
of Hemlock and there are many ephemeral pools in the spring. The location is in the western Upper Peninsula of
Michigan and Lake Superior is across the road from me.
