Parasitoids of Anise Swallowtail

Parasitoids of Anise Swallowtail
Alameda County, California, USA
July 30, 2013
Size: 3.0 mm average length
These are presumably offspring of , which I found near and on just before and just after the caterpillar pupated. On finding that the chrysalis had been parasitized, I froze its remains. Today I cut the shell in half and photographed its interior. There were several pupae (perhaps some puparia), less mature siblings of the wasp(s) that had developed to adulthood and escaped.
