This is probably
Anisota senatoria
, there is however another very similar, and rarely reported species (due to its restricted range along the northern shore of Lake Ontario),
A. finlaysoni
. These two species are nearly impossible to differentiate as adults, especially from photographs. And since your location is not in the area previously quoted for where
A. finlaysoni
replaces
A. senatoria
, it's safe to say that this is most likely
A. senatoria
.
