Tenodera or Mantis? -
Tenodera sinensis
-
06/16/13, Clark County, Indiana, USA
At this point, given new information, I am uncertain as to which species this might be. Thanks!

When was this insect photographed? T. sinensis is most certainly not found in the adult stage in June in Indiana.

Ah...
I guess I misread the "Mantis" for the order instead of the genus! Well this is definitely in Tenodera. It most likely is T. sinensis but it could be Tenodera angustipennis (can't quite see the base of the forelimbs).

Looks Yellow
Still a little hard, but it looks yellow. If it is yellow, then it is a T. sinensis. If it is orange, then it is a T. angustipennis.
T. angustipennis:

I see what you mean!
I'll keep an eye out for that next time I encounter that genus. Thanks for the clarification!
