Yes - the bristles on the tho
Yes - the bristles on the thorax are pretty distinctive. My usual online resource (the Key to the Genera of Nearctic Syrphidae) seems to be down at the moment, but I keyed it to genus with the Manual of Nearctic Diptera and it agrees with your ID and my memory of the bristles - hooray!
