Not the best view for identifying this ant, but shininess and locality strongly indicate.

Camponotus sp.
That's a Camponotus sp., a Carpenter ant. I don't know if you'll get to species with this shot alone - do you have a picture of the face perchance? Maybe an expert can tease out some other details to place it further, I guess we'll see.
