Variegated Cutworm (Peridroma saucia)
It reminds me of a Variegated Cutworm Moth - Hodges#10915 (Peridroma saucia)
I think this ID clincher: "costa - from base to two-thirds its length - has 7 short black marks, the first 4 and last 2 are in pairs (a distinctive feature)" is visible on your moth but not very prominent due to the dark brown color of the FW.
