Tigrosa Species (Female) - Tigrosa grandis - female

Tigrosa Species (Female) - Tigrosa grandis - Female
Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, USA
October 23, 2013
Size: 23mm BL
I'm not even sure about these anymore. The ventral of this individual appears to be Tigrosa aspersa but it also appears somewhat T. grandis.

Image is of the female eating a male differential grasshopper.

I'm going to...
...take your word for it. However, I still have that aching feeling that this is a T. aspersa.

I think ...
that other one of yours in T. aspersa is probably T. grandis too. If you look through the T. aspersas look at the cheeks ... T. grandis is supposed to have the light patches on the cheeks like this one, T. aspersa doesn't.

Hm...
I'll keep that in mind, thanks!
