I laid down on the trail to get a "spider's eye" view of this beautiful creature, and although I was trying to get the entire tarantula in the image, it kept coming toward me and giving me a closer close-up than I was even hoping for, at one point attempting to climb onto the camera. I did finally get one shot of the whole body and legs as it was going away through the grasses.
