Pyrausta - Pyrausta tyralis

Pyrausta - Pyrausta tyralis
Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, USA
February 4, 2014
Size: 9.5mm length
At outdoor light. The best I can come up with is one of the uncommon color variants of #5069 Pyrausta tyralis. If true, then it may be worth keeping in BG even though there are many images posted already for Florida - none from the Florida Panhandle in the north, however.

We see these dark specimens in south TX often.
Thanks!

Thanks, I wanted to be sure.
Dark specimens in south Texas - but none among the Texas BG posts! In a discussion here the possibility is addressed that the "dark forms" are likely females. The relatively large size of my specimen would be consistent with this, I think.
